Early on the morning of April 16, 1944 the German U-boat U-550 torpedoed one of the largest tankers in the world, the T-3 tanker SS Pan Pennsylvania. Less than three hours later the U-550 and 41 of her crew would be lying on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean. For sixty-six years the final resting place of the U-550 has eluded all those who have sought her. Join us on our 2010 expedition eighty miles south of Nantucket Island In Search of the U-550

This is a video survey of the first shipwreck I ever found using side scan sonar, 2002 . It's true identity is currently unknown. I've named it the D.G. Barrett in memory of a friend of mine who drowned in a non-diving related accident: Donald G. Barrett, May 14, 1976 - May 6, 2002

Hungry Point Harbor Seals, Fishers Island NY

Spring 2009, there were many harbor seals in the area for this time of year so I spent two dives video taping them. The first dive was on open circuit gear because my rebreather wasn't put back together for the season, they were pretty spooked by the noise. I went back with the rebreather a few days later ..... much better.
