In Search of the U-550
Early on the morning of April 16, 1944 the German U-boat U-550 torpedoed one of the largest tankers in the world, the T-3 tanker SS Pan Pennsylvania. Less than three hours later the U-550 and 41 of her crew would be lying on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean. This is a video survey of the first shipwreck I ever found using side scan sonar, 2002 . It's true identity is currently unknown. I've named it the D.G. Barrett in memory of a friend of mine who drowned in a non-diving related accident: Donald G. Barrett, May 14, 1976 - May 6, 2002

USS Bass - 2012
This is a video of a dive made on the USS Bass during the summer of 2012.
USS Bass Conning Tower
The Front of the Con is Gone! Well, toppled over anyway...... We had been told by M.P. (aka Sky Pilot) that the conning tower of the Bass, or a part of it, had been toppled over. On a recent dive to the Bass, 09/20/2014, we were able to check it out for ourselves. This video shows what she looked like in 2012 and what she looks like now.
Interment of Charles John Roskoski
On September 20th 2014 the remains of Pearl Harbor Survivor Master Electrician Charles John Roskoski USN were interred into the conning tower of the USS Bass.
